I take this opportunity to welcome you to our foundation. The culture of Tooro has naturally put my position as Queen Mother at the helm of responsibilities in the Kingdom. Tooro Kingdom under His Royal Majesty King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV experienced an unprecedented situation of being ruled by a child King from the age of three after the demise of his father King Olimi Mathew Kaboyo II in 1995. Sincerely a lot of mystery and speculations surrounded the kingdom, you can imagine what my mind was going through at that time: the smooth continuity of Tooro legacy under King Oyo and his regents.
Culturally and morally, it was incumbent upon me as the Queen Mother to ensure the future of Tooro Kingdom was great. It is against this background that I created my foundation to support the women and girls of Tooro and beyond to achieve their best and fulfil their potential. I owe unceasing glory to the almighty God who has made it possible that we can now celebrate and rejoice as King Oyo has fully matured. I wish to extend my in depth appreciation to His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni (President of Uganda), the people of Tooro and people from all over the world who have supported us in raising the His Royal Majesty the King of Tooro and the Princess Royal of Tooro.
